- Mini Interdisciplinary Unit
Students individually or in partners are expected to create an interactive, child - centered, interdisciplinary unit related to one of the topics within the NS Science

- overview of lessons with three fully developed lessons and must include:
• Cover page with title of unit, name, course and date
• Introduction and overview of your unit – state your topic, an overview
of the unit and what comes before and after your lessons. Bold the
developed lessons.
• Table of contents of what is in your unit- pages numbered, please
• Concept map of your unit – see Bev’s Science Page and MOODLE for
samples
• Timeline- how long as a whole for the unit and group of lessons

no need for a separate list of SCO’s).
• Materials needed – included in lessons
• Lesson plans, as per template, with focus on a constructivist approach.

photocopied activities from sites or guide. Also, be sure to reference these
within the lesson .....and at the end of unit
• Productive questions- be sure to address this within each lesson
• Assessment details, including one rubric ( see web site and book for
review of rubric)
• STSE connections, clearly listed in your own words– i.e briefly show
how connections can be made to the real world and everyday events.
Do not give me STSE outcomes from guide.
• Extensions
