Getaway Farm is soon to be Certified Organic

Though we currently use no pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, antibiotic feeds, or artificial growth hormones, and the animals eat only grass and hay and natural minerals, we are not yet certified organic. However, we have started the transition process towards becoming certified organic by the Nova Scotia Organic Growers Association. Our first certified calves are expected in fall 2006.
